The Capelet That Started My Journey

I’m Olivia, the person behind OLIVIA STYLIST and Selected by Olivia. I started my journey in 2015. I choose ponchos, capelets and occasion wear to help you find a special finishing touch for your outfit.

My journey began with a capelet that captured my heart. There was something about its design that made me stop and look. I could not have known then how much that discovery would come to mean to me.

An encounter that opened a door

I had the privilege of meeting the man who owned the factory that made these beautiful pieces. He saw potential in me and offered me the opportunity to sell them online. His encouragement helped me see a new direction for my business.

We arranged to meet to discuss the details. Tragically, he passed away on the very day we were due to meet.

Continuing with gratitude

After his passing, I chose to continue the journey he had helped me begin. Bringing these pieces to customers became a way of honouring his memory and the belief he had shown in me.

He had introduced me to a new market and helped me find my way into online selling. As I built OLIVIA STYLIST, I carried that encouragement with me, choosing pieces for people who appreciate something distinctive and special.

More than a finishing touch

This capelet holds a special place in my story. To a customer, it may be the finishing touch for a celebration or a favourite outfit. To me, it is also a reminder of the person who opened a door and inspired me to keep going.
